Time to change the way you communicate with your target audience?

Thereโs been a common theme recently in the emails and messages Iโve been receiving from some of my clients and contacts...
โOur website is receiving less traffic โ even though weโre still posting fresh content...โ
โMy LinkedIn posts are receiving fewer likes, comments and shares...โ
โOur weekly email newsletter has been receiving fewer opens and clicks...โ
โMy sales have declined dramatically...โ
All of which can be very disheartening.
However...
Whilst being regular and present with your marketing is still REALLY important - life has changed.
And, your target audience may no longer desire the same types of communication they previously used to like... desire โ even relish!
Maybe this is a good opportunity to change the way in which you communicate with your target audience?
But how?
๐ Make your marketing more relatable, authentic and empathetic.
Use scenarios, stories and real-life experiences that will resonate.
๐ Try and think like your target audience thinks...
What do they like?
What interests them?
What are their โpain pointsโ โ at this very moment - and how can you solve them?
๐ Great content is based on the four E's:
- Entertaining
- Engaging
- Empathetic
- Educational
๐ Keep it simple - no jargon, lecturing and no essays.
Donโt say in two paragraphs what you can say in two sentences if itโs not adding true and lasting value.
๐ And remember, often the most creative ideas can arise from the most challenging situations.
Now go forth and create great marketing!
